About

Welcome to Peridot Cove! My name is Sanjana - it means creativity in Sanskrit, which I think perfectly sums up my passions. My birthstone is peridot, and a cove is a secluded place, much like this blog is my own corner of the Internet. Blogging has shaped my life more than I ever dreamed it would, and I am forever grateful for all the past five years have given me.

I am an Indian-American teenager with a passion for learning, writing, tennis, politics, and volunteering. I grew up in the suburban Midwest, and the close-knit community I call home will always hold a place in my heart.

My high school, which I graduated from in 2020, was where I made my closest friends and was inducted into the Student Hall of Fame. As a high school student, I served as Key Club President and Yearbook Editor-in-Chief, through which I developed my love for leadership and journalism. I spent time working with children, volunteering for the causes of childhood literacy and representation in STEM. Through it all, writing and blogging remained a core part of who I am. Currently, I am a first-year college student studying neuroscience and Spanish. I am passionate about women's health and the fields of medicine/neuropsychology.

On Peridot Cove, you'll find pieces of poetry, ramblings, travel diaries, and other happenings in my life. I also love collaborating with brands and other bloggers. If you are interested in working together, please shoot me an email at peridotcove[at]gmail[dot]com. Feel free to ask a question below and check out my favorite posts linked here, here, and here. Grab a cup of (iced!) coffee and stay a while!

  4. Hey, Sanjana. You are wonderful, your blog is brilliant. Also, you and I share quite a few things in common- I love coding & web design, as well as laughing and cake batter.
    Keep blogging, always.

And hey, you asked me a couple of questions on my blog. I decided I'd answer them here, so that you definitely see it. I got the paper lanterns from Typo. (It's a store linked to Cotton On, have you heard of it?)
Yes, I have considered opening an Etsy shop...and I am, still. But I don't know if I will.

Thank you so much for your really sweet comment. ♥

  9. Hello, Sanjana! Your blog looks darling, good job on your design! I wish I could learn to love designing + coding, and I get around fine, but to be completely honest...it mostly just frustrates me. ;) I adore blogging, though which we both have in common. I want to thank you for commenting on my blog, though. and being so incredibly sweet. Have a lovely week! <3

    1. Hi, Abbey! ❤️ Thank you so much for stopping by, and for your sweetness! Design and coding were definitely difficult for me to get into at first, but I've found that the more you play around with certain codes, the more you learn to enjoy it. xx Just keep trying!

  14. Hello Sanjana,
My name is Dani (despite what it says above my comment), I JUST found this blog JUST RIGHT NOW and... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I read all of your posts from back when you first started blogging. I kinda jumped on the blogging band-wagon a little late... so I've been trying to see as many different blogs as I can. I found out about your blog because I was visiting Amy's blog (http://littlemoondragon.blogspot.com/) and saw you had commented, so I was like "Hm... let's go check out HER blog!" So I... ya know... DID! XD I'd love it if you'd come check out my blog? It's called The Dani Jones Blog... So, yeah!
    Keep on rocking
